I imagine council meetings there could be interesting...But it reminds as well, in Christ we are all one, part of the same body.

I'm glad the explanation made sense about what antichrist means. Maybe I should say as well, it's taken to refer to the office of the papacy as one that has set itself up IN PLACE OF and AGAINST Christ's office.BigDavz0rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12180842109233178736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7604353108073839990.post-40777452523776192512011-07-21T18:29:27.135-04:002011-07-21T18:29:27.135-04:00The "Sharks and Shepherd" link surprised...The "Sharks and Shepherd" link surprised me when he mentioned that, Ron Kind, a Democratic Congressman was also part of the WELS. You would almost think that no one would have brought this up in the first place because of that fact.

Also, I never knew (until this post) why WELS thought the pope "was the antichrist". Your explanation is clear (of him putting himself in the place of Christ), although I think there is a case to be made, of Christians having the Holy Spirit in them, making them incarnationally Christ, in some sense of the word.G.
